FAQ: The Networks: Executives

July 2018? Why will it take so long to deliver?

Unfortunately, that’s just the nature of manufacturing. This is my fifth Kickstarter project, and I’ve learned that it’s always best to be pessimistic when estimating delivery dates. Delays happen along the supply chain for one reason or another, so it’s best to account for that in my estimation.

It’s possible that we may deliver before July 2018, but for now, I will be pessimistic and give you a conservative date. I’ve found that is safest!

Can I get the expansion in other languages, like German and Chinese, through this campaign? If not, will it be available separately after the campaign?

This campaign is only for the English-language version of the game and expansion.

I’m hoping to work with my partners to put The Networks: Executives in as many languages as I can. I can’t announce anything official, so I’ll just say it’s highly probably that the expansion will be available in German and Chinese, among other languages.

Can I get the base game in this campaign? Can I get the stretch goals from the original campaign too?

Yes and yes! You can get the base game by backing at the “Executive Vice President” level and up.

The stretch goals of the original Kickstarter campaign make up the “On the Air” expansion, which you can get at the “Executive with Bonuses” and “Executive Vice President with Bonuses” pledge levels.

I hear the original printing of On the Air had issues. Are they solved in this new printing? If I already own a copy of On the Air, should I buy another?

The newest OTA print runs fix minor issues (back of cards being the incorrect shade, no timing icons on Network Cards), but if you have a copy already, I’d say you don’t need to pick up another, unless you’re a perfectionist.

Do you offer retailer pledge levels? How do they work?

Yes, the retailer pledge level is $2. If you back at that level, you’ll have the opportunity to buy the base game and/or expansion by the case as an add-on after the campaign is over. I won’t charge your card until just before the games ship, so you won’t have to tie up your capital for several months.

Note that if you’re an American, Canadian, or European retailer, the base game and expansion are in distribution, so you will support me just as much if you wait to buy the game from your preferred distributor instead! This pledge level is really for stores that have a harder time working with distributors.

If the new deck of Shows in the expansion replaces the deck of Shows in the base game, won't that decrease replayability?

No, I don’t think it will. I’ve designed the whole Executives expansion to exponentially increase the game’s replayability!

But the replayability isn’t coming from the Show Deck, it’s coming in how you have to approach the game to win it. Each Executive forces you to play the game differently. Add in the Season 0 cards and the Mogul cards, and you have a game that is very replayable.

If you really want to mix all the cards together, you can always swap Shows in and out! As long as you can deal out the minimum number of cards per season, and have no more than 4 of each Genre in the Season 2-3 and Season 4-5 decks (and no more than 2 of each Genre in the Season 1 deck), you can mix the shows together.

Will the new expansion match colors with the base game?

Doesn’t matter! There are no cards in the expansion that you’ll need to shuffle in. The new Show deck replaces the old deck of shows, and while there’s a whole bunch of new stuff (Executives and Mogul Cards), there are no new Ads, Stars, or Network Cards. All the replayability in the expansion comes from the new Executives; they’re really cool!

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
